Jewelry pictures

As I mentioned in my post last week, I have been making jewelry like a motherfucker. Yesterday I finally had to stop, clean up, and distance myself from the beads. Why, because if I didn't I would just sit there making shit and never get around to actually selling any of it (The result is that I ended up knitting a foot and a half of my re-knit ( Read more... )

I thin ka lot of them are really awesome! I am a fan of the plainer styles like the hand knotted ones. I could see the appeal of the busy ones. I don't care for the rock star bracelet because it is very busy, but also repetitive. The Coral reef one is much cuter.

Perhaps as a procurer of beads, you might know wear to get italian glass beads? I mean the kind that don't have holes in them. I want them for glass blowing.

Thanks! I plan on making a bunch more hand knotted ones once my cord shipment comes in. I enjoy knotting and I think it adds a unique touch.

I actually like the simpler bracelets better, because i get irritated at dangly things at my wrist after a while, but I do wish I was more tolerant as they are cute. At the same time, I didn't want to just make things I would wear, so a goodly many of the pieces aren't exactly my style, though I often wish they were.

I don't know where to get italian glass beads, but if I ever stumble across some I'll let you know.

I was just waiting to see these!

Eyeballs and leaves. Although, I don't wear much jewelry, so what do I know?

I like the all-star bracelet also. The variation in color/cluster of stars. Very nice.

I'd probably just wear the shot through the heart and eye necklaces. I'd get irritated by dangly things at my wrists. Not good with the bracelets.

I'm not good with them either unless they are very low profile. They get in the way when I type/write/do anything. But I do like them...*sigh*

I like the all star bracelet too, but it's too big for me. Well, that's prolly a good thing, cause that means I'll sell it and not keep it for myself.

I really like the shot through the heart and eye necklaces, they are also things I would wear.

How much would/someone pay for these? Ballpark-ish? Any ideas?

No ideas! Depending on the cost of the single focus necklaces/really simple items 9-13. The bracelets, heavily beaded items 13-25. Depends on material costs too, and I have no idea how much jewelry is supposed to cost, also.

That sounds pretty reasonable...how much value do you think sterling silver adds to a piece? Like if you had two identical necklaces, and one pendant was ss and the other was silverplated or pewter, how much difference do you think there would be in price?

I really like the pictures in the first 3 rows , the other pictures don't look as professional but they are still good .. as for the jewelry, it looks good - very professional, and it looks like good quality beads, thats what i usually look for, though right now i don't wear any jewelry..mollie just pulls on it..

Yah, I took the pics really quick like, just to put something up to get feedback. They aren't at all what I would use on an actual website to sell. J will be taking those in proper light with a tripod and a nice background.

Thanks!!! I've been trying to make them look as professional as possible, construction-wise. This crop is much better than my first attempts. I do try to get good quality beads, I've found some really good sites to get stuff at for pretty cheap.

Thanks! I'll check those places out.

Yah, ebay's gotten pricey with their listing fees, which is why I haven't tried yet. I still like etsy (http://www.etsy.com), even though I don't know if I could sell all of it through them, cause I'm still not sure I can get the proper amount of traffic. But it's easy to use, cheap to list (I think ~$.30 per inventory item and the listing stays up for 6 mos, and their winning percentage is lower than ebay too), and it's full of crafty people selling their handmade stuff, which is soo many kinds of awesome. I'm thinking a combo of places and eventually a homebase website/storefront as well.

It's not finished yet. And I wouldn't put that up yet anyway, cause it's not for sale, it's for you.

So ummm....does that mean you didn't like anything of the other stuff at all, and you just don't want to hurt my feelings by saying so? Cause I can handle it...

Naw, I just didn't have time to really comment. So here are my opinions:

One suggestion would be ring a ding dings. Rings are easy to make and you can make sets of jewelery.

I really like the claps on the all star bracelet. But the rest of the bracelet is a bit too much. I tend to go for the simple elegance (unless I'm trying to dress like a jellyfish).

<3 the swirls, but the eyes kinda freaks me out.

The blue fishy is <3 <3 ( ... )
