I need a vacation after my vacation, please...
What a nice, peaceful, LOOOONG weekend! I took Thursday and Friday off of work, so I had a nice long 5 day weekend, and I need some more time off to sleep, please.
Thursday I had lunch with some former co-workers, and then headed down to Fredericksburg to meet my friend and his fiance for a weekend at a beach house. There ended up being about 8 of us all together, and it was a lot of fun. We included many of them in the movie, which is helpful in that my friend and I don't have to play all the characters (which we have been doing). I brought my digital camera as well, so I got lots of nice pictures too. Like most vacations, though, it was over all too quickly, and so now here I am like a chump at work. Work, for me, is just a way to pay for having fun on the weekends!
There still aren't a lot of cicadas around the house, but I'm not complaining... they bounce of my windows by the time I'm around Tyson's Corner, so that's always fun. And now, lucky me, I get to get ready for a four (!) hour meeting. As you can tell (or maybe you can't), I'm very excited at this prospect. So excited I hope I don't fall asleep during it.
