1. What's your favorite candy: tie: dark chocolate and candy corn
2. What's the best scary movie? anything that makes the chicks jump in my lap
3. Do you like to be alone at home? I'm used to it
4. Pumpkin pie: eat it or throw it? smother it with whipped cream and devour it
5. The most distasteful Halloween costume you can think of: any president

The Top Ten:
  1. Evanescence - Solitude: I've had this song in my playlist forever, but I never really stopped to listen to the lyrics, at least not much more than the chorus. There is no better explanation of the hell I've put myself in than these words of Ms. Lee.
  2. Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become: "Help me deal with the demons I created that are tearing me apart" is what this song says to me. OTOH, I see nothing wrong with letting the beast within out now and then.
  3. Ra - Don't Turn Away: To me, this kinda talks about how love can be right in front of you, but still out of grasp. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm just jaded... Who knows. However, this time I found a copy of the cd it's on, so here's the lyrics:
Under the sun I stand / Over the wings of fallen angels.
I can't believe the things you show me. / In my dreams I have you next to me.

Forever gone is love. / Out of control, I fall in trenches.
And if you leave me empty, / How will I design the world I need?
    Pre-Chorus:
In your eyes you see it done: / Colors drain away like water.
Distance all but disappeared, / And nothing can be done.
    Chorus:
Don't; don't turn away. / Don't let it take you over.
You cannot give in. / Don't let it take you over now.

And in your eyes I catch / A tiny glimpse of heaven calling.
You try to stay in touch, but can you / End what has no real beginning.

    [Pre-Chorus]
    [Chorus]
And I walk away / And leave you right where you stand
I'll never regret all that I said to you. But you never turned away

    You never turned away. (x4)
    [Chorus x2]

And I walk away / And leave you right where you stand
I'll never regret all that I said to you.But you never turned away

    You never turned away. (x4)
    [Chorus x2]
  4. Cold - Black Sunday: The story of a man spiralling out of control reaching out for help.
  5. Evanescence - Call Me When You're Sober: I recently saw the video for this and was immediately sold. Amy Lee reigns supreme as the new Goth Princess. *swoon*
  6. Massive Attack - Teardrop: Most of you will recognize this as the theme from House, M.D. ANd yes, it has words! I miss House, enough damn baseball, I want my shows back!
  7. Mudvayne - Forget To Remember: The song progresses from into and through an abusive relathinship, ending with putting it behind you and finally Forgetting to Remember the relationship. I can relate.
  8. Cold - Anatomy Of A Tidal Wave: This speaks volumes about me and Ms. I'm-Not-Cute. And I quote; "I can't believe it was the calm that killed the storm..."
  9. George Carlin - Farting In Public: C'mon, who doesn't like fart jokes!! This rant is definately up there in the tope boldily function rants along side Tim Allen's burp rant.
  10. Cold - Ocean: Sometimes the people we want to be with the most just slip away in the ocean's arms...

Anyone want a kitten? Lady's kittens have finally grown up and we're itchin' to kick them out (not really, we dig them, we just can't keep them). mishdum said he prolly wants the uber-fluffy tabby, but there's still the fluffy black-and-white female, the uber-fluffy black-and-copper tortoise shell female (who may or may not be claimed), and fluffy solid black male (he's got just enough white spots to not qualify for black cat rescue). They are Maine Coon / Rag Doll mixes so they're long-haired and to say they're affectionate would be an understatement. They're all extremely playful (duh, they're kittens), and they'll all fall asleep in your arms (ahem, duh, they're kittens).
