Went to see wascally_weasel's return to stand-up on Wednesday. He was doing a ten-minute slot as part of a Comic Relief "comedy idol" for transport workers organised by tfl.
A good set by WW sadly failed to win enough votes to overcome a polished routine by the only woman comic among the contestants. Shame. I voted for him - as many times as I could get away with. It was good to see him back up on stage and to hear his routine about the whales again.
After the tfl people, there were sets by established performers. One of whom turned out to be someone who was on the line management course I did a while back. Small world.
