Didn't do much on the dissertstion at the weekend. Went to the park on saturday for an hour's break from not doing enough work, and was given a promotional
KissFM frisbee. On Sunday, I went over to Iain's for sword practice. It was very hot and humid, even at 5pm, and sparring in helm and gauntlets with long swords was quite knackering - even worse for Iain in his "tinny" suit. We also shattered one of my throwing needles in what will probably be our last game of knifey-swordy. what's knifey-swordy? Think of it as cricket or baseball with sword and knife as bat and ball - and fewer catches...
Bookcrossing meet-up last night - lots of good people there, and I picked up some interesting books.
Oversaw the systems upgrade at work today - I'd been dreading something going wrong, but it all went very smoothly. No glitches spotted yet - I spent the afternoon testing every operation I could think of, and so far "functionality" has only been improved. Now I can stop worrying about that and start worrying about the dissie deadline...
