This is probably a really stupid question, but if radiation poisoning kills because it turns atoms to ions, these ions interacting weirdly and fatally with our bodies, and ions are just atoms without electrons, why can't we cure radiation poisoning with electric shocks ( Read more... )

An idea: Use a small nuclear power generator on a space ship, tie it to an electromagnetic radiation shield. Then make the ship spin to create artificial gravity. Boom! Just read that cats can't taste sugar. Makes sense, since it's not something they need. But it gave me an idea, considering that I have two carnivorous species on Traipah: alien races with different senses of taste than us humans.
