Last night I had dinner with my cousin, who's a freshman in college, going to one of the big universities in town. The wrong university if you ask me, but no one did. So we're at Borders doing some shopping and she's trying to find a card for a cousin on her dad's side who just had a baby. She pick up this card that's got two cartoon drawings on it. The top one is two bunnies on a boat floating into the tunnel of love. The Second is many bunnies on that same boat coming out of the Tunnel of love, and the caption says "your love keeps growing and growing" or something like that. I'm thinking this card is very sexual and asking her if she's sure she wanted to send it. She was thinking I had a dirty mind and that it wasn't a sexual reference. Perhaps I'm just a total perve. But a boat going into a tunnel ... um yeah, very Freudian to me. Not quite as obvious at a train into a tunnel or a rocket taking off, but still, really dirty, at least in my head. So I bought it for when my sister gives birth. Also bought the first season of Alias on dvd for my uncle. He's tough to shop for, so hope he likes it.

I was at Urban Outfitters last night and found all kinds of cool stuff. I could have bought many things, but finally ended up with a
toast imprinter that has a picture of Jesus on it. You heat it in the toaster and then use it hot to put the image on your toast. Too funny! Now I just hope that the intended recipient fins it as amusing as I do, and does not get offended. I also bought him
Dumb and Dumber on DVD, so hopefully he'll see the humor theme.

I really want yo go see
Blood Diamond. Maybe I can convince my roomie to go with me tonight after her concert and dinner. hmm ... will work on this. So I've long thought that
Leo looks like a boy no matter how old he gets. The other day I was listening to a review of this movie and the reviewer said this movie was the first time Leo didn't look like a young kid to him! Thank goodness someone else gets what I've been saying for years! But I did like him in
The Departed, he's definitely starting to look grown up ... and hot!

I got a wedding invitation in the mail yesterday. I'm sad that I can't go, but on top of that, I think the timing was really really short. The invitation was postmarked November 22nd, and I received it yesterday, December 8th, so slight delay. The response cards were to have been returned December 5th, and the wedding is half way across the country on December 29th. Does anyone else think this is rushed? I'm gonna send in my card, even though it's past the date, and then e-mail the bride with my regrets as well. Note to self, when planning a wedding, give the guests more than a months notice for an out of town wedding (the bride and groom both live near me) and also give the guests more than two weeks to get the response cards sent in. If I plan a wedding at all. I've thought a lot lately about something really small. This guy I work with was spouting off recently about how he didn't believe in eloping and that if you get up there in front of your family and friends than it's more real. For him, maybe, but I'm just not sure I want to deal with all the hassle. anyway ... to be worried about this, I need to be dating, right? Ok, next topic to worry about.
