Welcome to bellydancing! :)

The place where I got my skirt is Flying Skirts ( http://www.flyingskirts.com/ ) Be advised that the elastic band in the skirts and pants is PURPOSELY left undone so that you can adjust it yourself to where it's comfortable.

I got my bloomers from Holy Clothing ( http://holyclothing.com/index.php/ ) Mine are the Heather Knee Length Crepe pants.

I don't have a top yet for myself because I'm not at a point where I feel comfortable with dancing with a bare belly. I've just been using a tank top from Lane Bryant so far. I've got a cheap Kirkland brand one that I found at Costco for the moments where I feel like I can deal with skin-tight. [edit: when I feel comfortable enough, I'm going to probably get a top from Flying Skirts--and if that won't work, I'll just get a cheap tank top and crop it. /edit]

For actual veils, I recommend the silk ones. You'll have to shop around for pricing, because everywhere seems to price their stuff a bit differently, and be VERY MINDFUL of the shipping bits for each site. Some places offer an expensive flat rate that helps if you're getting a lot of things but is ridiculous when you're only getting one item.

When you reach a point where you feel comfortable with the idea of dancing with others, look around for the bellydancing community in your area and start learning from them. It's a lot of fun. (or at least, I think it is)

Outside of Belly Dance Superstars--which I personally have not been impressed with as of late--a lot of the costumes are literally thrown together; ATS (American Tribal Style) aka Tribal is the most relaxed costuming I've ever seen; it's "throw this stuff together and dance". Ultimately, you could be in jeans and a tshirt while you dance and as long as you feel good, that's all that matters.

Hope this is of some help :)
