Couture Spring 2006: Armani Prive

Feb 04, 2006 08:14

Armani's creations are not of youthful fashions; his aesthetic runs timeless and classic. Save for a few confusing duds, his suits and gowns could have been produced twenty years ago, or today.

The suit reminds me of pre-Revolution Colonial work clothes, but with the skirt shortened for modern styles.

Armani's specialty part one: the Pant Suit.

Ruched skirts were a big part of Armani's presentation.

This billowy number could've rocked the runways in the 70's.

Armani's specialty part two: the Oscar gown.

When a starlet wears this gown, Go Fug Yourself will not be able to look away.

What would a couture show be without some crazy details?

Speaking of crazy...what?

And finally...Oh, Grandma.
