Chris arrived at Mary White College for what he was sure was the penultimate time, that the next time he would come up to Armidale it would be for his Graduation. As he entered, he ran into someone he hadn’t expected to run into straight away.
“Chris?” a female voice asked.
“Bec?”
“You’re here for the exams?” she asked.
“Just one exam. Then If I pass, I can get my degree,” he explained.
“I see.”
A Federal Election is held later in the year. The Coalition, lead by John Howard, loses to Labor. Kevin Rudd becomes Prime Minister.

The Marshall Islands leave the Commonwealth.
Nauru gains independence from Papua New Guinea.
Antarctica
The last attempt at a non-scientific settlement, Erebus City, shuts down after the last of the would-be settlers leave, returning to their countries of origin.

It seemed Quinn had similar thoughts. “Nothing remarkable about them now,” she clarified.
“We shall return to the TARDIS first,” the Doctor decided.
“What will that prove?” Daria asked.

The rest of the family paused. There was an awkward silence. Lillian could see that they had suffered in some way from her disappearance.

Lillian nodded as her heart beat faster.
“Ronnie, get a chair for our guest from the dining room,” Helen said.
The younger sister, Ronnie, nodded and quickly did what she was asked,
