Home Again!
So we arrived home from our road trip on Monday night at 9:30. I'm working out today how to put all the pictures together; I think I want to scrapbook it, but I'm not sure if I want to go digital or physical.
Our Destinations:
Salt Lake City, Utah -5 Day Stay (Traveled through the Texas panhandle, a smidgen of Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, and down into Utah)
The Grand Canyon, AZ -1 Night Stay <-- We drove atop it at 1 am. No moon, no other cars: pitch black. There were moose. And a cougar.
The Petrified Forest, AZ
Albuquerque, NM -1 Night Stay
Hometown, TX!
Total time in the car was not quite 55 hours.
I *barely* was able to check LJ to even read; I definitely didn't waste any precious bytes on other sites. There is ZERO internet in the middle of the US. I had "E" the whole time which wasn't even enough to check Twitter. Even in SLC where I supposedly had 4G & LTE, I had so many errors... And none of the Wifi connections worked until we got to New Mexico.
Yesterday, Sissy and I chilled out on Halo 4. Oh, and we cleaned Tiny; he was FILTHY from the mountains! (Every time I drove down a mountain, it started raining!!) Now he's back to his Tiny Shiny self! :D If it stops raining today, I'll get to put up the awesome UNSC logo jess_being_me and her hubby sent me for my birthday! :D - Incidentally, I DID see y'all's birthday wishes, and I tried to reply on "LTE," but either LJ was down, or I didn't actually have LTE. Considering y'all have been posting regularly all these days, I'm going with the latter option there.
Anyway, glad to be home!!!
