Chapter: 2
Pairing: Kyuhyun/Sungmin
Warning: probably grammar errors

A/N: This is rushed, I know. Sorry for all failures. cause my Kyumin bias is dying and I'm trying to save it

Sungmin’s father scolded Sungmin for causing slight troubles with his screams. If Kyuhyun didn’t defend him, he probably had ended up begging on the street or working in the black market again.

Well, time bought everything at the end. Mr. Cho finally realized how a nice kid Sungmin had been and understood why his son seemed to treasure him very much. Even Mrs. Cho favoured him over Kyuhyun because the boy was a good cook and willing to help her doing chores. When New Year came, which was Sungmin’s birthday, the Cho family happily celebrated it together.

“I’ve got something for you, Hyung. Wait for me upstairs, will you?”

Kyuhyun and Sungmin were indeed closer. But they never really talked about their exact relationship. Means, they did cuddle and kiss each other goodnights, but they thought it was normal for siblings to do so. Kyuhyun was the first one to realize that something didn’t go that normal. It suddenly hit him, that his feelings for Sungmin were very much alike with his dad to his mom, or Nobita to Shizuka, Jack to Rose...

Sungmin’s happiness was always his priority. He needed his presence. Those two were what mattered at first. But time did change his every mindset and he had demanded more. Kyuhyun wanted Sungmin to at least know his feelings, or more, to love him back.

The elder was patiently sitting on the edge of their bed, waiting for his gift when Kyuhyun entered the room. A sunny smile appeared on Sungmin’s cherry lips. “Kyu!” How Kyuhyun loved hearing his nickname coming from his mouth. His name somehow sounded sweet in Sungmin’s voice.

“Happy birthday, Sungmin Hyung. Congratulations for turning fourteen,” Kyuhyun circled his hand around the elder’s neck, leaving a silver chained necklace with pink bunny shaped pendant. He had been observing how addicted Sungmin to things related to ‘pink’ and ‘bunnies’. “I love you,” he continued, hoping Sungmin could find sincerity in his voice.

“Love?” Sungmin only stared at him. His expression was showing disbelief, confusion, and happiness.

“Yes, love. In a way you may think it’s impossible, but yes, I do.”

“But you don’t know anything about me in the past!” The elder automatically yelled and he quickly shut his mouth, surprising his own self. Tears flowed down his supple cheek.

The younger sighed, not prepared by the kind of reaction at all. It was true though, he didn’t know anything. Not yet. “Mind telling me? You’re keeping things to yourself and it makes me frustrated, you know?” Kyuhyun brushed the tears away and calmed him down with a hug. “Tell me your stories and see if I still love you, okay?”

-

It was a cold day in winter when Sungmin suddenly disappeared.

Kyuhyun was so worried all day since early in the morning when he woke up and found no one to snuggle for comfort. “Don’t worry, Kyuhyun ah. He’ll return safely. Don’t you think we hide him too much from outside world? Maybe Sungmin needs a bit of freedom.” His mother said when she cooked breakfast. “Your mother’s right. We know he’s not the type of kid who leaves just that way. Stop worrying about Sungmin and go study well,” added his father. Kyuhyun felt so disappointed towards his family. He thought they all were care with Sungmin already.

At school, even back at home, Kyuhyun couldn’t stop wondering where his love gone, what for, and why did he leave without telling him anything. “Do you hate me? Why? What did I do wrong?” Kyuhyun looked at the calendar on his desk sadly. Tomorrow was his birthday. “If you want to leave, why won’t you wait for two days more? I wish I can celebrate my birthday with you...”

You’ve asked and got the answer so I won’t forgive you if you forgot my birthday!

Kyuhyun remembered saying those words. It was an empty threat actually. Whatever mistakes Sungmin had done always ended up forgiven, cause he knew Sungmin would never ever did it anymore. “I edited my words, Hyung. I will forgive you although you forget my birthday, but I won’t if you’re not here.”

Tired dealing with the growing pain in his little heart, Kyuhyun fell asleep on his desk. His mother came to call him for dinner, but seeing his son was in such a state, she decided to moved Kyuhyun’s sleeping body onto the bed. After making sure the boy was comfortably placed beneath the blankets, she took her phone and contacted someone.

-

Kyuhyun was awake and found that he was alone. A single drop of tear wet his pale cheek. “Is he really gone?”

-

Sungmin smiled seeing his work. He was so thankful that his real mother taught him a lot about Japanese botanical and ikebana when he was still kid. If only she was here and able to see his creation, she must have been proud.

“Umma, I’m heading there now,” he called Mrs. Cho, “should I wake him up myself?”

“No need, Minnie. I’ll get him ready. I’m afraid you can’t help but to say the truth if you come seeing him now.”

“Hehe, you know me so well, Umma. Alright, I’ll just wait here then.”

-

“Kyuhyun ah, get up. You’ll be late for school.”
“Can I skip for today, Umma? I won’t be able to concentrate on anything.”
“Fine. But get up now.”

Fine? How come?It surprised Kyuhyun that his mother agreed so easily. “Umma, what day is it?” He asked the very same question every year, hoping that his mother’s kiss on his cheek and earliest greetings he usually received could cheer him up though just a bit.

“Tuesday? Why?”

Great. Umma has just successfully made my mood worse. Kyuhyun scoffed and stormed into his bathroom. It actually tore Mrs. Cho’s heart to see how awful his son was when Sungmin was gone without news, even for merely a day.

Even after his bath, the young prince still looked horrible. “Where are we going, by the way?” He asked when his parents semi-dragged him into the car.

“You’ll know, Son. Just wait for about ten minutes.” Mr. Cho smiled, but failed to reassure the boy.

-

Ten minutes of waiting inside the car felt like hell to Kyuhyun but when they destined, the boy felt like seeing heaven. There was his Sungmin, smiling through the glass window. “Hey, Kyu. I’m sorry I’ve gone witho-“ Kyuhyun quickly got out from the car and pulled the latter into a tight hug. “K-Kyuhyun... Your parents are seeing us...”

“God Lee Sungmin YOU JUST TURNED ME CRAZY WHO CARES IF THEY SEE US!!!” Kyuhyun crashed their lips in frustration. “Explain now!”

Blushing, Sungmin turned at Kyuhyun’s parents, afraid and embarrassed to be caught kissing their son. But they just looked back at him and nodded in approval. So Sungmin kissed back and parted after they were out of oxygen. “Follow me, Kyu. I’ll explain on the way.” He took Kyuhyun’s hand lovingly and led him away.

“Our son is just twelve years old. Why do I feel like giving him into a marriage?” Inside the car, Mr. Cho sighed. “They look so good together I can’t even remember the fact that he’s a slave, and a male one!”

“I know right.” Mrs. Cho grinned happily at the comment. “They’re young but what they feel is love. They reminded us when we were young, didn’t they? Such adorable lovebirds... I don’t mind if after this they come asking our permission to get married. Cho Sungmin sounds nice.”

The father muttered incoherently, half-heartedly agreeing. His wife chuckled and cuddled him dearly. “Hh, I used to wish to see my cute grandchildren growing up,” he grimaced.

“Yah, they can adopt some cute babies. Stop complaining! You have a cute son in law at least.”
“Fine, fine. But I still need time to decide if Kyuhyun proposed Sungmin this early.”

Mrs. Cho suddenly felt the need to give his hubby a little bang on the head. It was no doubt that Kyuhyun inherited the stubbornness and wittiness genes of his father.

-

Kyuhyun was dazed with the beautiful views around him. Lilies and orchid all bloomed everywhere in the not so vast field on the left and right side of the road they were walking on. Sungmin noticed that the younger walked slower and distanced further behind him.

“Come on, Kyu, faster!” told Sungmin.

“Aah, who are you to command me? You’re my pet. I am the master.” Kyuhyun even stopped to admire the scenery. “This is so picturesque. Why so hurry leaving? It’s not usual of you to ignore this kind of beauty.”

Sungmin sighed. “Yeah, yeah, I planted them all, for your information. I know I’m just your pet but now I don’t care about that. Come on. I’ll show you something much more picturesque than this. I can’t wait to see if you like it!”

Kyuhyun was silenced and let himself being dragged by the elder. “You planted them? When? Why?”

“For my love’s birthday, of course.” Sungmin grinned proudly. “The time you mentioned your birthday, this idea came to my mind.”

It shocked Kyuhyun. Sungmin never ever declared the word ‘love’ before, as if it was a taboo. When Kyuhyun said that he still loved him despite his every past, Sungmin only cried and said ‘thank you’ silently. Sungmin responded when Kyuhyun hugged and cuddled him, but he was never the one who initiated those intimate gestures. Sungmin let Kyuhyun kissed him but his reaction was either stood still like a statue or quickly pulled back, never kissed back. It made the young prince give up, satisfied enough with the unrequited love.

“Hyung... you know I love you, right?”
Surprised with the sudden topic, Sungmin replied, “Hm..hm... yes?”
“You’re more than just my pet okay? You are my everything.”
“Yeah. You’ve said it before. Don’t worry, Kyu, I’m not taking the earlier seriously.”
“But about the fact that I love you, you’re taking it seriously, aren’t you?”

Sungmin didn’t answer at that. It made the younger fell into deeper muse until he bumped the Sungmin’s back for not realizing that he had stopped walking.

“Ah! Kyu! Are you alright? Your nose?” Sungmin turned back and examined Kyuhyun’s face carefully, making sure that he didn’t injure Kyuhyun or anything.

Kyuhyun removed the elder’s hand from his face and walked forward. There was a lake in front of him, not too large but yes, much more picturesque than the flower field meters behind. The water was glistening beautifully under the sunshine, guaranteeing the feelings of being fresh and clear if you just jumped into it. The green grass grew neatly around the side of the lake, making the view much more fresh looking. The wild flowers were cut beautifully and placed in wood, which Kyuhyun recognized as ikebana.

There was a small island in the middle of it, an island of flowers. What amazed Kyuhyun was how the flowers were naturally grown but arranged so that the red roses were forming letters. Japanese letters... Kyuhyun thought. He didn’t understand the language actually, but he recognized how the first kanji was the same with Chinese letter which was read ‘ai’, which meant ‘love’.

“My real mother was half Japanese half Korean. She used to teach me some Japanese greetings, cultures, and arts,” Sungmin explained. Hesitantly, he reached Kyuhyun’s hand and looked directly into the still surprised eyes. “Aishiteru. Saranghae. Otanjoubi omedetou gozaimasu. Happy birthday, Kyuhyun ah.”

“Sungmin... What the hell are you doing?! I’m supposed to be the one who gives you the best surprising birthday and makes you happy! I’m supposed to be the one expressing my every feeling and you, you’re supposed to stay in your place then nod at my confession and say ‘I love you too’! Who allows you doing this?” Kyuhyun pulled the elder into a hug and growled in frustration. “Min Hyung, I really miss you. You’re gone for more than twenty four hours without any news. I was so close to going insane!”

The elder giggled, knowing that Kyuhyun couldn’t be really angry with what he’d done. He patiently answered every question. “I don’t agree. It’s not fair. I can do whatever I want to please you. I want to show you my love too. Your parents allow me to do all of this. Sorry, I don’t miss you. I wasn’t gone that long. Even if I left you for a week I believed you wouldn’t get crazy. Therefore...” Sungmin pulled away. “Can’t you at least thank me or anything?”

“Hh, fine. Thank you.” Sungmin smiled at the simple but honest gratitude. “...Where are Umma and Appa?”

“In the car, supposedly.”
“They aren’t seeing us, are they?”

Kyuhyun claimed the latter’s lips. The kiss started sweet and loving but then deepened as both sought for more. Kyuhyun removed Sungmin’s white robe and slipped his hand inside the pink tight shirt beneath. The friction made Sungmin moaned and Kyuhyun used the chance to slip his tongue into the warm cavern he had been wondering how it would taste.

“God, Kyuhyun...” Sungmin moaned in between pants. “You were JUST twelve years old!”
“So?” Kyuhyun looked annoyed at the mention of his age.

“I am not having sex with you until you’re... sixteen. And you have to get our parents’ permission!”

Kyuhyun chuckled. “Relax. I don’t want to rush things with you, don’t worry. But seriously, four years? Do you think I can resist you that long? What if my parents let me marry you now?”

“I’ll marry you gladly but still, no sex until you’re sixteen.”

“Anything you want, Minnie Hyung.” Kyuhyun hugged him again, smiling contentedly. “Thank you. Thank you for everything. All you’ve done to me, coming to my life, making a good pet yet good friend for me, giving me happiness every day and night, this gorgeous birthday present, loving me despite my arrogance and all... Thank you.”

“Hehe, you’re welcome. And I thank you back for everything you’ve done to me too. Thanks for treating me good, accepting me, sharing your belongings with me, saving me from that whore at your sis’s party, and yeah... the same, giving me happiness every day and night, loving me despite my past and all... Thank you.”

A grin showed in both face and Kyuhyun hugged him again dearly. “Let’s go back. Umma and Appa will treat us to French restaurant to celebrate your birthday. And Ahra Noona is coming as well.”

Kyuhyun gazed over the view again, savouring the beautiful sight for as long as possible before leaving. “What are you going to do with this next? You’re still taking care of it, right?”

“Of course. I don’t want my full year dedication to this flowers stopped just by today. And also, the farmers who helped me with the flower field before wouldn’t be pleased if I let them grow wild.”

“Good. Cause I want this place to be where we have our first sex. It's warm, fresh, smells nice, simply perfect.”

Sungmin blushed at the thought but he nodded, silently agreed. Both Kyumin then left the memorable scenery, walking hand in hand back to where the parents were waiting.

-

Nothing really changed in the relationship, at the end, except that Kyuhyun demanded Sungmin not to be shy or embarrassed of showing affection. “Your shyness made me desperate. I thought my love isn’t reciprocated all this time,” he said, “be brave and don’t hesitate to say everything to me, kay?”

Mr. Cho advised Sungmin to have basic education at special school. He’d pay for his every need as long as Sungmin promised to study well and later help him working in Cho Enterprise. Sungmin gladly agreed and thanked his ‘father’ for the kindness.

Other students looked at Sungmin in strange way, but Kyuhyun was always comforting him and telling him that he shouldn’t care about them. Kyuhyun walked him to school and fetched him, making sure that no one hurt his Sungmin. Kyuhyun even suggested Sungmin to join martial arts club so he could defend himself if he was bullied when Kyuhyun wasn’t around.

“But I want to join musical. I’ve learned martial arts before when I was still a slave.”
“Musical? You like musical? Why did you never tell me?” Kyuhyun frowned.
“Well, you never asked. I once watched a musical on my past owner’s TV and it so took my interest.”

“Hm... That explained why you loved singing with me and I caught you secretly danced along the music from the TV when I wasn’t present.” Sungmin blushed at the reveal. “Good. I love musicals too but usually I am too hesitant to try. Let’s join a musical club outside the school. But for extracurricular, you join martial arts!”

“Yes, Master Kyu.” Sungmin agreed. Anything Kyuhyun wanted him to do, he’d do, as long as they had more time for togetherness.

Kyuhyun sighed. “I wonder if I am being a bossy bitch to you... I am no longer your master, Min Hyung...”

“No, you’re not. I was just kidding about that. I've never looked at you as my master since you told me not to.”

“For real?”

“Cho Kyuhyun is not my master. He’s my lover,” said Sungmin with a grin. Kyuhyun smiled back in relief and leaned forward to plant kisses in the elder’s lips.

“How dare you claim me as your lover? You are mine!” Kyuhyun acted as an angry master again, but this time he couldn’t hide his usual smirk. “I’m the one supposed to say ‘Lee Sungmin is not my pet. He’s my lover’, you know?”

“I’ll be brave cause you’d like me to. Yes, Prince Cho Kyuhyun you are mine. Seeing how easy to make you almost crazy~” Sungmin grinned cheekily. “Kidding. We belong to each other. Agree?”

A kiss should be more than enough to answer that.

-End-
