Poisoned Mind
Although he may try to convince himself that what he has done is not wrong and not unforgivable, Chopper knows deep down that he is a killer.
And once upon a time, he did not know what a killer was. It was just another human word that he wanted nothing to do with. When he met Dr. Hiriluk, he learned that a killer was someone who stole lives away with one pull of a trigger, with one swift movement of a knife. It was not until much, much later that he learned that a killer can also come in the form of a man-reindeer with good intentions, with a mushroom that is meant to heal but only turns out to be poison and his savior's downfall in the end.
But he does not want to be a killer. He wants to save lives.
And so, he turns to Dr. Kureha, lets her know that he wants to continue to be a doctor and he wants to learn everything that she can possibly teach him, and he hopes and prays and begs that she will not notice or care for the sin that he must bear until the end of time.
