"What? It'll just shred it. That's not exciting."
"It's my turn!"
"What about sweet potato?"
"Ooo, yes!"

Eliot leaned in the kitchen with a sigh. "Why is the dishwasher throwing a tantrum?"
The busboy beamed. "We got a new toy!" He pointed to a contraption on the counter that looked vaguely like a cheap pasta maker. "It's a spiralizer! It slices, it dices, it --"
"Literally only cuts things into spirals," the dishwasher said grumpily.
"Then why do you want to use it?" Eliot asked.
"Because it's my turn!"
Eliot was going to just leave that alone.
