Demon Marcus, Monday
"Look, look!" she said, pulling out one of the new skirts that Sparkle had been putting out yesterday. "This skirt has birdies on it! Just like you, Mabel!"
A beat.
"Though you probably can't wear it as a bird, huh?"
She missed her roommate. Mabel the cutest birdy was great, but she wasn't very good at tea parties this way and she kept trying to eat the buttons and eyes off of her toys, which was a big no-no.
Mabel made a noise like she agreed.
"Well," Alluka said brightly, "when you get human, I'll try and remember to show you the skirt again!"
Mr. Bubbles watched all of this from his place on the counter solemnly. Skirts were serious business.
