Weekends away could do wonders for Jaina's mood, which meant she was okay after last week's trip. But between the message waiting for her from Jacen when she got back to Fandom and wanting to avoid her grandfather, there had been better Sundays.

Elena cracked her knuckles, once, moving into the center of the ring. It had been far too long since she'd had an audience for this sort of thing. She glanced around, wondering if she knew who Daisy was. Wondering how well the other girl could fight.

Dinah stood up from where she'd been stretching when she was picked, and looked around for Kyle. She was pretty sure she didn't know him from anywhere.

Kyle hadn't been expecting to be singled out. He watched where Professor Atreides pointed to for his opponent and walked over. "You're Dinah, right? We were both in Practical Weaponry."

Dinah squinted at him a moment, then her expression cleared in recognition. "Right! You were the TA. Nice to see you again." She nodded over to the mat. "I should warn you, I have touch-telepathy, but that's why I wear the sparring gloves. It's still a small risk, though." She held her hands up. "And I have telekinesis, but I won't use it in the match unless you want to practice against it."

Griff always liked the bouncy feel of the mats under his bare feet and he shifted from one foot to the other as he waited for his partner.

Mat on the mats; it would've been amusing if Mat wasn't some sort of supermodel type. Griff looked up at him and tried for a smile. "'S right. You're good for a go?" No way was he getting in trouble for fighting the injured people after that girl went all green.
