Mat on the mats; it would've been amusing if Mat wasn't some sort of supermodel type. Griff looked up at him and tried for a smile. "'S right. You're good for a go?" No way was he getting in trouble for fighting the injured people after that girl went all green.

"I've seen it happen," Griff answered. Unfortunately that had been more due to who was fighting, but it was still true. "Any special rules on your part? People seem to have those as well."

Mat snickered and tilted his head toward the redheaded kid in the corner. "A friend turned into a tiny cat this weekend," he said, "but I don't think she intended it."
He smiled. "I learned most of my hand to hand stuff in tavern brawls," he warned, "so I'm not very...pretty."

Griff raised an arm, blocking the blow. "Gel," he confirmed, leaning in to throw a punch of his own at Mat's stomach. "But not for me, I was helping a friend."

His head snapped to the side with the blow and when he turned back toward Mat, he led with his own fist toward the other boy's jaw. It was kind of high so there was a bit of a jump involved there. "Not enough."
