Dawn yawned as she walked into the common room, looking for sufficiently holiday-esque food to feed to Berthold. When she spotted Dean instead, she decided to try to sneak up on him. If he didn't catch her, he'd be hugged from behind.

Sneak. Sneak. Sneak.

A grey ball of fur pounced on Dawn's ankle.

"Eek!" Dawn started waving her foot around and forgot all about sneaking. "I have been captured by the mighty and ferocious hunter." Who she promptly picked up and snuggled, scratching him between the ears. "Protecting your person, huh? Yeah, I can see that."

She smiled at Dean as the kitten climbed out of her arms and onto her shoulder. "Morning. I see you have a guard kitten."

"I do," Dean said, grinning at them. "He's well named." He broke off a tiny bit of bacon and fed it to Hunter as Dawn held him; the cat took it from his fingers and ate it delicately.

Dean glanced up at Dawn with a smirk. "I also totally knew you were there, y'know."

It's a Sunday morning, so of course the first place Mac heads for is where there seems to be a supply of coffee and food.

She's not entirely awake, but manages a smothered yawn and a fairly cheerful, "G'morning."

Mac arched an eyebrow, and headed to where there was coffee. "You are way too awake," she remarked as she poured herself a mug.

"And cooking. Which is kinda impressive, actually," she continued.

"There was generous application of black coffee before there was cooking," Dean explained.

Jake wandered up until he found people, and then he walked inside, hauling a bag with him. "Please tell me there is coffee?"

"There's coffee," Dean said, waving his spatula in the direction of said coffee.

Bel wasn't leaving until tomorrow morning, so he was still around. He passed through the common room on his way outside for a cigarette and paused. Oooh, maybe food would make this headache go away.

"Thanks, man," Bel said, grabbing some bacon. "You stuck here for the holidays? I'm flying out to San Francisco early tomorrow morning."

"I'm staying here, yeah," Dean said, "but Sammy and Dad are both here so it's not so much stuck as this is where we've lighted this year. Family's all here; there's no need to go anywhere else."

Cally wandered down a floor, enticed by the smell.

"Mmmm, smells good," she said.

"You're very kind and generous," Cally said. "I guess you're not really 'stuck' here for Christmas if you're family is here, huh?"

"Nope," Dean said grinning. "The location's never really meant much -- we've always been on the move since I was about four. It's us all being in the same place that's important."
