[Creatures of Nature - 5th Period - 7/9]

Jul 09, 2007 00:15

D had sent out a handwavy notice to his students, directing them to meet at a clearing within the preserve a short way behind the school.

Teal Deer aren't here, but they should be. )

"My name is Gwynn Hood. I grew up in the forests of my homeland and have found that animals and creatures of the wild are much more reliable and trustworthy than some men of the land."

"And under what circumstances have you found this?" D asked.

"Back home my people and I get attacked more by human beings than we do creatures of the forest."

Approach the Unicorn whathasbeenlost July 9 2007, 09:05:25 UTC
The unicorn stands waiting, dark eyes curious but wary. If you would like to approach, you must be a virgin - if you have to ask, you're probably not. Men, be careful, but those of you who have been chaste may attempt to come close.

[OOC: Like it says, if you have to ask, you're probably not. If you're not sure, ping me OOC or on IM.]

Gwynn approached the unicorn slowly and respectfully. "I do not understand why anyone would wish to harm such a beautiful creature."

The unicorn's ears pricked forward as she came close, but he stood in place for Gwynn. "Because some feel that they would benefit more by trading in parts of us than leaving us whole," he said, his voice solemn and deep.

"Then those ones have no sense of loyalty or appreciation for such a wondrous being."

Approach the Qilin whathasbeenlost July 9 2007, 09:11:42 UTC
It stands and watches, almost floating above the grass. Fearsome though it may seem, it has a serene and very noble air about it. Come close and speak to the Qilin, but it may not acknowledge you if you do not give it the proper respect.

[OOC: ...Have fun?]

Gwynn was in awe as she approached the Qilin slowly.

The Qilin watched Gwynn, unmoving until she was several feet away, whereupon it raised its head sharply, almost threatening.

This time Naminé crouched a little to be sure her curtsy brought her head lower than the Qilin's. "Good afternoon," she said again. "Thank you for coming to our class. What sorts of questions may we ask of you?"

Naminé approached D after class. "Might I have a word with you?"

"You might, of course," D said with a smile. "Please, what can I do for you?"

"I should like ..." Naminé flushed. "To make an appointment with you. At your business. If that is acceptable to you, of course."
