[Creatures of Nature - 5th Period - 7/9]

Jul 09, 2007 00:15

D had sent out a handwavy notice to his students, directing them to meet at a clearing within the preserve a short way behind the school.

Teal Deer aren't here, but they should be. )

Approach the Unicorn whathasbeenlost July 9 2007, 09:05:25 UTC
The unicorn stands waiting, dark eyes curious but wary. If you would like to approach, you must be a virgin - if you have to ask, you're probably not. Men, be careful, but those of you who have been chaste may attempt to come close.

[OOC: Like it says, if you have to ask, you're probably not. If you're not sure, ping me OOC or on IM.]

Gwynn approached the unicorn slowly and respectfully. "I do not understand why anyone would wish to harm such a beautiful creature."

The unicorn's ears pricked forward as she came close, but he stood in place for Gwynn. "Because some feel that they would benefit more by trading in parts of us than leaving us whole," he said, his voice solemn and deep.

"Then those ones have no sense of loyalty or appreciation for such a wondrous being."

"Indeed," the unicorn agreed.

Naminé curtsied. "Good afternoon," she said in a low, clear voice. "Would it be all right with you if I stepped closer?"

"Good afternoon to you," the unicorn said in a deep voice. "It would, and quickly, if you might?"

Naminé bobbed another quick curtsy before walking up to the unicorn. "I thank you," she said. "I shan't take too much of your time. Why is purity a prerequisite for your conversation, if it isn't rude to ask?"

The unicorn side-stepped, bringing himself a little closer to Naminé. "Take as much time as you need, as long as you scratch my shoulder while you stand there," he said, somewhat hopefully. "As for why, then know that I am the embodiment of purity, and the lack of it is unpleasant to my senses."

Naminé laughed. "My apologies, I hadn't wished to be forward. I would be delighted." She reached up and scratched along his shoulder, still smiling. "Why purity of body, then? Some are pure of mind, others pure of heart. Or does one somehow connote all three?"

The unicorn snorted slightly, leaning into her scratches. "Thank you," he said, sounding relieved. "The purity of the mind and heart are well and good, but purity of body is, as I said, unpleasant to me in the lack of it. It isn't personal."

"Oh, I see," she said, nodding a little. "Are women inherently more pure than men? Or are we perhaps more friendly, more sociable, more sweet?"

She was still scritching along his shoulder as she reached her other hand up to hover near his muzzle, flushing a little. "May I?"

"I have found that women are more pleasing company to keep, yes," he said, then pushed his muzzle against her palm.

Naminé rubbed along his muzzle, unable to keep from laughing lightly. "You really are delightful, you know," she said with a smile. "And I'm glad that I was able to meet with you. I wasn't entirely certain. Not that there's a question of my purity, I assure you. But I'm never quite sure if I'm real, or if that counts on a different sort of scale."

Ellen would no doubt have been relieved that Jo approached the unicorn without any hesitation whatsoever.

Jo'd have cut anyone who accused her of cooing and squeeing.

The unicorn held his head up and seemed very pleased to be cooed over, letting Jo approach with no problem whatsoever. No one would accuse a unicorn of not being somewhat vain.
