Fandom High Lawn (All Day)

Everyone was thankful that the weather had cleared up enough for the Welcome Party to be held outside. Tables were set up with food and nametags, as well as what seemed to be requisite balloons and glitter. There was also a sign up listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, for those who had volunteered, and plenty of room to socialize

Today was a day of meeting new people and keeping names straight. After meeting up with her new roommate, Cally headed down to the lawn to see if she could track down her new fake little sibling.

Who would hopefully not disappear like her last.

Henry peers intently at his map of fandom. He arrived on the wrong side of the school, and thus has been bumbling around a bit, very lost.
He's heartened to see his destination, so he hurries to the table, grabs his nametag, and spots Veruca. He walks over to introduce himself.
"Hello," he sticks his hand out to shake, "my name is Henry Jekyll."

She felt the up-front approach would work best.

Kabuto hated nametags. It was his first run-in with the evil things, but he already hated them. Frowning, he stuck the tag on the front of his shirt as he'd seen others do, and just leaned back to people-watch. Or rather, to study everyone he could from this vantage point, and see if there was anything worth remembering.

Emma turned up for the meet and greet (mainly in order to avoid her new roomie). She was even sort of dressed for the occasion. That is, she was dressed. She looked up at the school building. "Not bad, I suppose."

Lorne walked by and gave Emma a little woot of appreciation. "Ooooo! Honey! Finally someone who dresses as snappy as I do."

Emma smiled, pleased. "Why, thank you. I try." She gave the man a once over. He was really quite handsome in a green sort of way. "I'm Emma Frost. I'll be teaching Home Economics this semester."

Sam wasn't paying nearly enough attention to where he was going, and ended up backing away from a crowd of people, and walking right into the table. "Oh, sorry," he said when he turned around.
