Sam: Good evening, Fandom, and we should say a special welcome to all of the guests on the island this weekend.

Dean: He means the ones who are usually dead, not the ones who have just moved to NYC and came back for a visit. Of course if he had that would mean he was saying welcome to himself...

Sam: Yes, I meant the usually deceased. Especially our own visitor.

Mary: Are you sure it's all right that I'm here with you boys?

Dean: Yeah, it's fine. I mean, the only ones here to protest are the squirrels and they don't mind, do you guys?

*genial chittering is heard*

Dean: See?

Sam: Yeah, I'm the only one they don't like.

Dean: They like you fine. Just as long as you don't let Scout chase them and keep the bitchfacing at them to a minimum.

Sam: Scout's back in New York with Peter, so they don't need to worry about that. And I'll try to keep the bitchfacing down.

Dean: Hey Mom, did Sammy tell you he's shacked up with his boyfriend?

Sam: Dean! Okay, clearly it's time to start the notes, before you open your mouth again.

School News

Sam: Today's Five Senses class was about sight and using it to see fine details. Everyone got headphones, gloves, and nose plugs and had to re-examine the cabin to see what they noticed with their other senses gone. After class, Lion-o apologized to Constable Fraser for missing class while he was stuck in Locker 327.

The Pottery Making 101 students got to play with clay today to make a basic slab pot that they could then customize however they wanted. The, uh, Dating class was about The Talk today, and how no one should ever let themselves be pressured into doing something they don't want to do. Karla and Sookie eyed each other during class, and all of the students made a list of what they want to do with another person eventually, and what they don't.

The Practical Marksmanship class learned about, um, sniper shots and the ethics of assassination before lining up to take a sniper shot if they didn't have a moral objection to the assignment.

The First Aid class met in Hawkeye's office today to have sandwiches and cold drinks and discuss what they want to learn for the rest of the term, and after class, Cassidy took care of Hawkeye's dead plant for him.

And Cons and Confidence had a movie day where they got to watch movies and then come up with strategies based on the movies. Emma and Karla got into a bit of a fight during class about whether or not Emma should let herself be fussed over during class. Maybe not during class, but afterwards is a different story.

Mary: Which class is the one you're teaching, Dean?

Dean: Uh...

Sam: Yeah Dean, tell Mom all about your class.

Dean: The one you TA'ed last term?

Sam: The one you forced me to TA?

Dean: You make it sound like I held you at gunpoint.

Sam: It wasn't that bad, but you also didn't give me a choice in the matter.

Dean: Yeah, well it wasn't like you didn't deserve it.

Mary: Boys? Are you planning on going on like this all night, or do you take a break at some point to get back to what you're supposed to be doing?

Dean: Sorry, Mom. Sammy's falling down on the job here. Get on with the notes there, Sammy.

Sam: Oh, bite me. The Doctor had his office hours in the park, and got a visit from Kate, who talked to him about flamingoes and the possibility of them attacking before he realized that she's not actually one of his students. That's what he gets for having office hours outside, I suppose.

And Zoe got a visit from Mom. I assume that Dad's ears are burning where he is?

Mary: In a good way, I swear. She and I discovered that we had a lot in common.

Dean: Yeah, we might've noticed that.

Dorm News

Dean: Over in the dorms, Karla woke up to her parents Audric and Ilyse watching her which led to crying and Karla trying to explain why she's here. There's always the old fallback of to get an education to use for that, y'know.

And keeping with the conversations with dead parents -- no offense Mom -- Chuck Bass asked his dad Bart why his Mom's not here, and got told it's because she's not dead. And the winner for most shocking revelation by a dead visitor goes to...

Cassidy was weeping in the garden this afternoon, while up in the second floor common room this evening Katniss and Rue experimented with various kinds of sugar, sampling Skittles, M&M's and Twinkies. Throw in a pie or two and sounds like my kind of party.

Sam: That definitely sounds like a party you would have thrown while we were in school.

Dean: Never can have too much sugar. Scully and her sister Melissa came in, and Scully and Katniss confirmed that the present sisters are usually dead. Rue, meanwhile, was more interested in Melissa's cooking. I guess if you're dead yourself, the fact that someone else who's dead is in the room isn't nearly as shocking.

Mary: Not right now, it's not. Not really.

Dean: The things you can get used to... Peter met Katniss, who wasn't impressed that he might move on when he turns 18, as there's heat and food and people not beating you here. Someone should see about raising that girl's standards -- not that staying here as long as you can isn't something I can get behind. Unlike some little brothers I can name...

Being usually dead, didn't stop Melissa from grilling Peter about whether he's dating Scully. So, older sister then, huh?

Sam: Takes one to know one, right?

Dean: Hey, you younger siblings get in trouble if we older siblings don't look out for you. Wesley didn't have any guests from the great beyond, which probably means that the conversation he had when he met Rue was very enlightening for him.

Sam: Yeah, I can imagine, if he was just finding out about what was going on now.

Town News

Sam: At the MCA, Gwynn got a surprise when she went to visit Tim Desmond, and found him making breakfast with his father. While taking a walk around town, Marcus and Rafe talked about Fandom, and about why Marcus is here and unable to leave. Then, they went to hang out in the shed at the junk yard.

Jaina went to the MHA to visit John, and they ended up talking about his sofa. Dimitri had Rose over to his apartment so she could meet Ivan, Didi and Jono went to the Perk to meet her brother Morpheus, and Hiccup and Toothless spent some time flying.

Mary: Flying? On their own?

Sam: Well, I think Toothless is a dragon? So...kind of.

Mary: I'm going to "kind of" regret asking these things, aren't I?

Dean: You get used to the weird after a while. Really.

Sam: Yeah, you really do. Jenny was at work at Pixie Dust, smoking and drinking her way through her latest batch of paperwork. Quinn came in to talk to Jenny about Ariel and lodge a complaint about her policy of trying to kiss people who buy things. And here I thought most of the girls here wouldn't mind doing that sort of thing occasionally. At least, the ones not from Victorian times.

Dean: Maybe we need to throw some glitter on them or offer a boy kissy party to encourage them.

Mary: ...Boy kissy?

Sam: Okaymovingonnowreally, Marcus and his brother opened the Imperial Junke Yard together, Harper was celebrating not having anyone show up at Things Reborn, K-Mart came in for Sean to cover his shift at Nast Sporting Goods, and Hope was fighting with Apu at Turtle and Canary.

Kerrigan was out on the beach "meditating or something," Cloud was out on the beach brooding up a storm, and Loki was doing repairs at the MHA when Bartleby finally found him - they apparently fought in a "I'm really glad to see you no matter how much we swear at each other" kind of way.

Over at Jeff, God of Biscuits, Kate met up with Bod and his parents to get introduced and talk about Bod right in front of him, and Mom and I got to talk, and have some apple pie.

Dean: You had pie without me?

Sam: We did, and it was really good too.

Dean: You could've at least brought me a piece home.

Sam: Or I could promise to take you out for pie before I leave again?

Dean: ...I suppose that will do.

Sam: Okay, good. Delirium was at Groovy Tunes for her first day of work, and Didi stopped by with Morpheus so they could all visit each other. Jaime was having some coffee at the Perk, and got caught up with Tim Drake before Dinah and her dad showed up, so that she could introduce him to Jaime, and vice versa.

Ben was having large amounts of ice cream at Chilly Boulder, and Ender teased him about eating too much before he got Ben to admit that he was upset that none of his deceased loved ones had shown up with everyone else. It probably didn't help that Tahiri showed up with Anakin - her Anakin, not teacher!Anakin - and that Aravis stopped in to introduce Ben to Rishti.

A very upset Mary was smoking outside of the Arms Hotel, and tried to get her father to leave her alone. Gunn was patrolling at the graveyard when Wesley came to do the same, and they argued over whether or not Wesley should have been out there, since he doesn't seem to know what he's doing.

Rory and Juliet were playing in the park when Padmé spotted them, which led to an awkward conversation about Anakin and his finer points. And yes, I'm sure he has them, or two people wouldn't have wanted to marry him.

Rose wasn't in a very good mood at Atlas Gym, but luckily, she had punching bags on which to take out her frustration. Dimitri stopped in to invite Rose to meet his friend who was visiting, and realized the source of her bad mood was that none of her dead friends had come.

Ned and Kaylee went to the Outback Steakhouse to have dinner with his mother, and Damon was getting drunk at Caritas because no one had come to visit him either. Since that seems to be a recurring theme, I'd like to point out that if no one came to visit you, you also don't have to say goodbye to anyone when they leave. Just a thought to hold onto there.

Dean: Goodbyes suck.

Sam: They really do. I'm not looking forward to this one.

Mary: I'm not leaving just yet, so let's not dwell, alright boys?

Sam: All right, you're right. I'm all out of notes, so if you are too, we can get out of here and go...I don't know, do something.

Dean: Pie.

Sam: Geez, you want to take another split second to think about it?

Dean: Nope, I'm good.

Sam: *laughs* All right then. I guess that's it for us tonight, so have a good night, everyone, and enjoy your visits.
