Our "holidays in fashion" are Miniature Golf Day and World Gratitude Day... and boy, do I have gratitude for whomever in the world created mini-golf!
Speaking of King, I so want to read one of his latest horrors, Cell, since a teaser I read kicked ass, plus it concerns celphones, which I personally despise! A few of his newer works I could hardly read, but this one read damn good!
Metrodome problems? Possibly, in a way... an agreement that expired after 2004 gave the Twinkies postseason scheduling priority meaning if they win their division they have a home game Oct. 9th - when the Vikings play the Lions, which would force the Vikes out of the Dome, having to move the game. But Vikings officials apparently are considering whether to challenge it, which I personally think they should, as well as the NFL itself. The Twinks are getting their own stadium in a few years, let 'em suffer and just have to deal with it this time, the Vikings game is already scheduled! Besides, the Vikes bring more money into the Dome, which would be better for the Dome. You'll find the Tribune story here.
A man was shot to death last night after a fight took place between an officer and the man shot. The officers had been called to a "violent domestic" incident involving the man. I say kudos to the officers, because, seriously, people, just like with the b.s. concerning use of their tasers on people who run from them... these are officers and running away or fighting them is pure idiocy on your part and a sure sign of guilt/illegal activity in my POV! If you did nothing wrong, then do as the officer's say and ask and work WITH them, you fraggin' assholes deserve what happens to you if you're stupid around our own lawmen!
