Jesse Turner was enjoying his 'vacation' save for the fact that he seemed to draw demons from everywhere to himself. The now eleven year old boy used them to stand in as his family, they did so, but it was obvious they didn't like the idea of doing so. They all looked to him for orders and control.

Crowley showed up every so often, and Jesse didn't have a problem with that particular demon. He was funny, and didn't seem to expect anything from Jesse. He laid down the rules for the lesser demons and kept the child (read: the new acting Regent of Hell) informed on the goings on in the rest of the world.

Lucifer was back in the cage, so that Jesse wouldn't have to worry about being conscripted for wiping out angels, or used in a war that he didn't want to be a part of. Though demons would love to have Jesse as a leader, the control that the Anti-christ could exert over them kept the lower demons from begging too much. Especially when they did he could just send them back to hell, where they belonged.

Usually, Jesse's day was filled with home-schooling, surfing, and practice. He figured it would be better to understand his abilities rather than have them hurting people on accident. He'd also picked a place that was several miles from his nearest neighbor.

After he saw the movie the Last Airbender, he decided he could practice with the ocean that he lived on, pull water up, make it do what he wanted. It had taken a lot more effort than he thought it would have, but eventually he got it.

"Jesse, you're getting good at that. Congratulations." A man said behind him. Jesse nearly jumped out of his skin. He rounded to face a shaggy brown haired man who was wearing a worn pair of jeans and a t-shirt.

Jesse could tell that he wasn't a demon, but he hadn't been there a moment before. He eyed the 'man' warily, saying nothing. The man sat down in a chair that he conjured from nowhere.

"You have nothing to fear from me, Jesse. I just came to check in on you, now that Lucifer is back where he needs to be. Wanted to see how you were doing." As the man settled back into his chair and waited for Jesse to respond, the child realized that his usual demonic suck ups were nowhere to be found. They were usually always around.

“Who are you?” He asked, interested in this man who looked so normal but who was so obviously not.

The man smiled, “Some people call me Yahweh, others call me God, some Father...but I'm going by Chuck Shurley these days.” Jesse nodded, a bit confused...so this was God? Well he was quite underwhelming. Also, why was he here to 'check in on' Jesse? The Cambion figured that God would have rather killed him...since the angels seemed to want to. Weren't they under his control and all that?

The man waved a hand, dismissing Jesse's thoughts. “Oh no, Jesse, I'm definitely not here to kill you. I understand that you had no choice in what happened to you. I'm only here to offer guidance, and assistance if you require it. Perhaps an idea as well.”

Jesse moved over and sat down in another chair that appeared, he was still a bit confused but listened to the being anyway. He seemed nice enough, and he had a strange accent. “Alright then, what am I supposed to do with all these demons? More and more keep showing up, acting like I'm supposed to tell them what to do...” He didn't want to tell them to do evil things, and Crowley was helpful, but he was still evil. Jesse didn't know how to handle them at all, nor did he want to learn how.

God sighed, and shook his head a little. “I know, Jesse. It can't be easy having to deal with them, but they have no leader anymore. Demons work on the idea of 'Whoever has the most power is in charge' that means you right now. I came here to offer you an idea, re-making Hell.”

The boy tilted his head, eyes narrowed with scrutiny and thought. “Turn Hell into what?”

Chuck smiled and said, “Basically? Rehab for souls.”

Jesse smiled and nodded, perhaps something good would come out of this yet.
