I'm in book limbo.

I always get like this after I finish a book that I thought was amazing. And sometimes I don't. After I read Jellicoe Road I read If I Stay and both of those books were freaking awesome. Recently I've found some amazing books. Seriously. I just finished Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta and I am in awe of this book. It was just so excellent. I really wish that there was more but I just felt like there was so much closure in the way it ended that I feel very content right now.

I don't know why but I love books about post-apocalypse, dystopian societies so when I heard about The Hunger Games I was really excited. And dude OMG, I had every right to be. Not only did this book continue to keep me excited through out it but it basically made me cry and also laugh and I was really happy with it. And it also kept me at the edge ( Read more... )

Just finished reading Peace Like A River by Leif Enger and all I can say is whoa. What an amazing book. I was drawn in by the characters, the prose and the story and I felt that I was reading about my own family.
