And I've only been telling you this for how many years? You're badass as anything.
When someone spends a period of time trying to change themselves to be more like you because they feel this will by default improve their life, you are goddamn awesome.
*snugs* Yeah, but believe me, my lack of self-belief was quite capable of parsing your actions as blind delusion rather than any reflection on my actual status. *love* Which is probably not fair on either of us, with hindsight...
Even as a faraway online friend, I can objectively say that I've read about you doing all these amazing things and it definitely leaves me with the impression that you are successful and adventurous. And very courageous to have done many of the things you've done.
(And I'm really glad that you've realized this for yourself. THAT is another great accomplishment!)
I was gonna use my Kane "Holy shit!" icon, but this one is a million times more appropriate.
"Imposter syndrome"? This fucked up, shit-awful way I've felt pretty much my entire adult life has a name?
I don't know whether to be pleased that at least I'm not alone, or sad that apparently so many other people feel exactly the same way.
But oh my gods, you go girl! You have done so much, achieved stuff that you can justifiably be proud of - and believe me, if you can actually enumerate those things, you're kicking the shit out of "Imposter Syndrome"!
I'm so damned proud to know you - because you are indeed awesome!
(For the record, I love that icon - though I'd love to know what the context was for that scenario! *g*)
*hugs* I know, I too was stunned to find out that it was actually a recognised effect (although apparently not yet listed as a formal medical/psych disorder) and I think it probably does help to know that it is! Certainly I felt better for learning it, although I know what you mean about the sadness that goes with it - it's just not fair that so many good people have to be convinced that they don't deserve their breaks!

I'm so damned proud to know you - because you are indeed awesome!Thank you, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart. ^_^ This really does mean a lot to me. And I'm proud to know you, too, for what it's worth - you've achieved plenty of awesome stuff that I've seen, and deserve just as much pride and

You mean this icon? It's from a clip on "Undertaker - This is My Yard" - I suspect it's the Brothers of Destruction doing some match planning with baby Hardy Boyz, although from memory there's no dialogue/sound with it.
-gigglefits- Although my irretrievably dirty mind has its own theories about why anyone might feel . . . inadequate around those big boys.
*splutter* OMG, you're terrible, you know that? I am so glad I know you. <3 *dying here*
(I really should ask you... do you have AIM? And if so would you be interested in trading screennames? This sort of thing is always that much more fun in real time, after all... *g*)
