"Anticipation" - A Firefly Vid
Normally, my fannish enterprises consist of opening my text editor and typing. But Firefly is just so damn good that it made me want to branch out from words, words, words into the genre of the VID.
Now, I don't own Adobe Premiere, and my computer doesn't have a DVD burner. BUT, I do have "Poisoned" (which links Macs to Kazaa), and iMovie comes with my OS. So, using inferior software and clips only from the pilot episode, I have tried my hand at making a vid. It's not even *close* to the standards of someone like heres_luck, who is my vid-idol... but I think there might be some parts of this that are somewhat artistic, and it was VERY fun to do. It's set to a small piece of music from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - when the book opens up in space. Very fun and triumphant and, I think, anticipatory music.
I guess the goal of this vid is to use clips from the pilot as a sort of "Serenity" trailer, and if it makes anyone even more excited about the film than they already are, it will have served its purpose. :)
