2:40:28 for the Helvatia Half. The winner of my age division placed third overall female while racing under 7 minutes per mile. That's freaking depressing.

2:18. Not my best effort by a long shot. It was wet out, and my socks got wet despite my best efforts. I developed some interesting blisters. I was pretty much checked out by 10 miles. Ben and Melly's wedding coincides with the Helvatia Half Marathon. Duh, a wedding is a once in a lifetime event and I'm looking forward to the vacation in LA. My esteem for my trainer Emily rises with every time I see her, and I say this the day after my last session while my ass is sore. She dropped a client yesterday, not because the client was dissatisified, but because Emily felt said client wasn't putting in the same amount of effort she was and didn't want to waste her own time. I'm back. I drove up to Sun River with my coworker Cynthia for the weekend in order to run the Pacific Crest half marathon. Damn, if I thought Helvatia was bad, this one was much worse. This was hands down the most challenging race I've ever run.

I just got back from running the 197-mile 12 person Hood to Coast relay. That was quite an experience. I wasn't ready for this. I mistakenly assumed that as long as I could run 8 miles I'd be okay, as my longest leg was 7.5 miles. This race works in culmulative miles unfortunately.
