I must be getting old. I had such a busy but wonderful weekend. However, now as I sit and type this, I am noticing that I'm really, really tired.
Yesterday, we went to Faire for Chivalry & Romance Weekend. Had a blast! We were kidless and we renewed our vows as is tradition for us. My hubby was in garb - wearing his brand new tunic which looked oh so yummy on him! I was in my "normal" goth wear for the day. *LOL*
The singles mixer thing? Never happened. I guess shy people talk up a big show but don't see things through. Explains why they would still be single, eh? Oh well. I tried. I won't be attempting another one. Sorry folks...you all had your chance.
The Faire's Queen's Court was mic'd this week (great improvement)! The Finale is still getting some kinks worked out but this week was by far 10-fold better than last week. Now mind you, we only saw Finale on Opening Day (Saturday). We can't ever go to Finale on a Sunday because of the kids. After the Faire we met up with some friends for dinner at The Farmer's Hope Inn. We were there from 9pm until 11pm. Good food. Great service (this time, at least). And fantastic times all around. We got home at Midnight. Next week is Swashbuckler Weekend (aka Pirate Weekend Part I) and Biker Weekend. Should be interesting.

Today was Aurora's 2nd birthday party for our families. We were very unprepared since going to Faire yesterday and I overslept this morning. But somehow we pulled it off. I got all the patio furniture out and cleaned and set up with the cushions while Michael ran the errands necessary to get the cake, balloons, party goods, etc. My mom was a big help with watching the girls while I ran around like a chicken without a head. When Michael returned, we got the tent put up and set everything into place. It was nothing fancy, but we did have chips, pretzels, Chex mix, grapes & cheese, and various sodas/juices, etc. There were a total of 18 of us, but my uncle and his wife didn't show (not that they were confirmed anyway - they were a "maybe/leaning more towards no" from the get-go). Anyway, we had pizza delivered instead of grilling hamburgers/hotdogs. It went over well. The last guests left by 5:25pm.
I'm tired. Let it be known.
