I am pretty chuffed at how this turned out, especially since I started it on May 18th and officially finished it today. That's pretty zippy, for me and lace knitting.

I don't know if anyone's been wondering where I've been - many people who read this also follow me on Twitter - but for anyone who has, Hi. Not dead. Ash and Smoke have gone off to the vet for regular checkup-type stuff, and I'm so worried that one or both of them will be declared to have yet another UTI, or that we "should" get extra lab work we can't afford right now. It doesn't help that today's supposed to be a very busy and full day at work.

Phaed's been on the sleep machine for a few months now, which means Smoke has largely refused to sleep on the bed with him. The noise is rather like a vacuum cleaner, so it's no surprise.

What is a shock, however, is that it's taken us this long to make a joke about an alien baby teething nook.
