(no subject)
So, I really haven't logged my thoughts since I've been in Iraq. I'm gonna start on how I feel about this whole [now pretty pointless] war. I mean, there is no way you can change the way these people live. There is no way you can force democracy. I mean we're trying, and they're trying, but really...I don't even know how to express how dumb this war has become. I honestly regret joining the Army sometimes, because we aren't really even doing much over here from what I can tell. There really isn't a reason to have so many troops over here, just getting hit by roadside bombs, and hit by mortars and rockets.
On a lighter note though, I should be back in December. I really can't wait to get home. I never realized the things I took for granted back in the states. Like the ability to download new music...or even know when new music was coming out. Or the ability to sit on a couch and have a beer with a couple friends and just listen to music and talk bullshit. I really can't wait to get back to the states mostly for the soul purpose of relaxing a little. Oh, and playing my guitar with my delay pedal and distortion pedal...that is really something I can't wait to do.
