I just finished a book for the first time in (mumblemumble) years. I suddenly remember why I love reading so much. I sat down at my computer and found the websites for the local libraries and logged into my LibraryThing and logged that book as read and added three more to get from the library.

Apparently I have my brain back.

So, fall break is over. Beth and I had a successful yurtscursion to Champoeg. She took a lot of pictures of pretty moss and fungi and trees. It was great to just walk around in the woods. ...was delightful and satisfying. I read it in about five and a half hours last night. I'm not sure how I'm going to wait for the next one.

On the plane ride back to Portland I read Orson Scott Card's book Pastwatch. It details the research of a group of scientists in the future trying to pinpoint the cause of societies current problems.
