WAAAA! Work!!!
Yeah so, Kristopher's just barely 3 months old and I'm finally back to work. I just finished my first day. I'm a janitor now *ponders if that's a good thing*. I basically work on call for now at schools in the Evergreen district. Today was a slightly different story though... I had to go all the way out to Ridgefield H.S. for work today. I can't believe that after 8 months of not working, I was able to pull a full shift. 8 hours...is that even possible for me right now? UGH! I'm sleepy, but it's sooooo worth it all. I did the math, and after taxes are taken out, I get about $67 for the day. Not too shabby! My only problem is A) being away from Kristopher all that time, and B) not having real daycare for him yet. My legs and feet hurt from all the walking. But I'm happy that I'm moving around and doing something at all times. It's better than standing in one place for 8 hours. Time went by pretty quick, I was surprised. But I still missed Kris a lot. I don't know if I'll be able to leave him with someone I don't know.... It makes me nervous. But I am really excited about this job. *Laughs* I didn't even know I got it until Tuesday, when I went in for what I thought was my 2nd interview. Well, it wasn't an interview, but it was orientation. Even better for me! Pays good, I'll get benifits if I get over 100 hours per month. And after a set amount of time, I get paid 2 weeks vacation, and paid holidays. So yeah... just wanted to gloat a little about getting back to work. I have to remember to thank Carol for the tip.
