Ahh, procrastination. I should be working on my essays but instead I'm watching a crappy movie and refreshing LJ and FB because the couch is comfy and warm, whereas my study area is less so on both counts.
Had a good meeting with Hilary last week, despite my apprehension. She was having one of those days and was in a frazzled rush and told me she was going to be harsh on my draft because she didn't have the time for 'social niceties', and yet her feedback was so polite and helpful and still so nice. I'm so glad she's my supervisor. Which does make me feel a little guilty that I'm not studying right now, but shhhh.
Finally heard from DHS and had a phone interview yesterday, I should hear from them next week if I make the next stage or not. If I do, the assessment will be around the same time as the Finance final stage in Canberra, but I made sure that there were multiple dates for DHS so I can make it work. Which is good because last night I got an email from Finance inviting me to the Canberra assessment in 2 weeks time :D Yaaaaay! Fingers are most definitely crossed, this mean I have a 1/3 chance at a grad role which will mean full-time employment starting in January next year.
It's starting to get damn cold now. Which means the heaters have come out, and Kaylee has abandoned hooman cuddles for heater snuggles, which is frigging adorable. If she could sleep inside the thing I swear she would, she leans against it with her paw through the columns half the time.
OK, crappy movie is over, time to get my nerd on.
