Still no feedback, but Jeremy did send out a 'mea culpa' this afternoon, promised to have sent said feedback by Friday and gave us all an extention til Monday for the essay. I don't really want to spend the weekend writing assignments as I really just want it to be over already, but I do appreciate the extra time. Ahh well, I shall do my best to knock over a large chunk while working tomorrow at the Union (it's exam block so it's super slow) and hope that the feedback is mostly good and just requires minor editing.
So today I got my tattoo coloured and it's AMAZING!
This is the linework and shading I had done a month ago. I really liked the drawing when I saw the paper sketch, and as soon as she added the shading I was in love. The extra dimension from the shading turned it from pretty to beautiful :D
And the results of todays session. I repeatedly told the artist Megan that she was AMAZING, I love it so much. It's still shiny with gunk and cream, and red from being worked, but the swelling is already going down. The tudor rose is scarlet with apricot highlights, with the centre in orange fading out to yellow. The curlices have two shades of green, and she added a smidge more purple to the thistles which fades out to a lilac-pink. I can't wait til it's healed and the colours come through properly.
My day got better after this morning's rant. I was quite nervous about the doctors visit as I hate docs at the best of times and I hadn't been to this one before, and new doctors always treat me as a whinging weirdo junkie. But this one turned out to be nice and he actually knew what fibromyalgia was and how much it sucks. Nothing that can be done about my ribs (as I suspected), but he happily gave me scripts for tramadol and ibeproufen without calling me an addict or a hypochondriac. Yaaaaaaay!
And then on my way home today I got phone calls from BOTH grad programs, from Finance to confirm if I was attending the next assessment and from DHS to congratulate me on making it another round, so I now have an assessment with them on MONDAY. Making up for lost time I guess. HURRAH!
