Oops, we made the man cry

So tired. Still so many things to sew. And once Ironfest is over I will have to pull up the slack at Uni as I've let study slide while trying to get the tent and stuff done. Bah. And it's cold and I'm tired (but thankfully over my Con plague) so my fibro is acting up. Woe is me.

But the end is in sight. On Sunday we had another workshop, and while the majority of SMAC piked, somehow with Adam's help, Liz and myself managed to finish the tent. We handsewed on 46 leather grommets and punched out the 56 that had already been sewn on the doors while Joel found the power tools and assesmbled the poles. We still need to punch the grommets on the tent body but other than that it's DONE! Ironfest will be the first time it's put up though which is a little scary.

Before the workshop, the Saturday night was Bri and Joel's combined birthday party which was great fun. A smaller crowd than originally expected, but pretty much everyone got into the bad 70's/ 80's dress up theme and there were some rocking tunes from the same. No peen for once since it was cold, but lots of same-sex kissing :) And heaps of cuddles, yay! Liz, Bri and I kinda made Pete cry, but it was for a good reason.

Today I have training for a new system at work, then class. Di is coming over tonight so I can help her make pants and a shirt, and at some point I also need to make myself a second shirt and finish my jacket so I don't die of exposure on the battle field this weekend. And then there's all the little things like peg bags and rope bags, another sail bag, finishing touches to another comission... I had had crazy plans of being able to make a pelisse or similar so I'd have the option of wearing ladies kit, but I think that's off the cards :p
