He stands there, watching as the brush lifts again. Lifts higher. Higher. Then swoops down in a rush, paint arcing in a perfect curve to slash across pristine canvas. Long fingers reach out, hesitate, and then they dip into the paint, pushing it, smearing it up and across.
Red first, a deep richness that speaks of passion and longing, of the blood that throbs in his veins each time blue eyes focus on him.
Then yellow, bright as the sun, adding an instant warmth and cheer to the stark lines spreading across white fiber.
They blend, commingling until there are spots of orange mixed in, providing a deeper warmth that speaks of fire and lazy days wrapped in blankets with hot chocolate and a good book. Burnt umber is added, nearly the color of the tea he sips from the earthen mug in his hand as he watches.
It all bleeds together, putting him in mind of the coming season, of shorter days and longer nights that slowly give way to white and cold. It's his favorite time of year, the depth of the colors always inspiring Viggo to new creations, and Sean is always amazed at the end result.
