So life has been happening! Most of it has been taken up by my starting my internship at the museum, it being a for reals internship thing this year instead of being a volunteer who ends up coming in four days a week to catalogue the dress collection which she's technically not supposed to be in alone. I had to sign stuff and everything (but not do training, because my boss hates the woman who does it and said it was just a power trip on her part. My boss hates everything, but she likes me so I just smile and nod). So right now I'm working on the silver collection, and got really dorkily excited because I figured out the dates and maker locations on some pieces by going through a gigantic book of maker's marks. One of them was from 1763 which was pretty cool because most of it is late 19th century. Unfortunately the room where the silver is only has one working light, making the rest of it even creepier than usual, but fortunately I can just grab some and run out into the less creepy room to actually work on it.

I keep trying to get together with Amy so she can help me get this mess of a garden in order, but it rained on the first day we tried, and I had to cancel today because Mike called and asked if I could help with a wedding (and getting paid > gardening), and Mike's parents are visiting from Chicago this week so she'll be busy with family things when she's not working. I may just attempt it myself and then ask her to fix whatever I've destroyed.

Tomorrow is possibly hot dogs with my grandmother! And then grocery shopping and making these for which I am psyched.
