(no subject)
It was an OK weekend, the weather has gone all cold and nasty again though. I fed 9 of us spag bol on Saturday night, it was nice to have everyone together. Pudding was a failed chocolate cake that I turned into individual black forest trifles. I just don't understand people who throw out any food, I regard failures as a challenge and failed cake can always be made into rum truffles!
Alex was very clinging over the weekend and would yell as soon as I left him, but calm down again the moment I was out of sight. Even knowing that it is still hard to walk off and leave him yelling with someone else, but I did have senior booking clerk duties to perform.
We also threw Alex out of our room as he is being a little sod about sleeping through in his own bed at the railway. I've been to soft on him to spare the others the yelling!
Yesterday we had an unexpected visit from Simon's ex, Rachel. Luckily Alex had woken up when she arrived, as she had come to see him more them me. She did drop off my birthday present though - a Pendle Witch. Simon will hate it if he ever notices! Ruth came over with Megan in the afternoon and we had fun exchanging presents as its Megan's birthday tomorrow as well. Ruth got me a stone, very nice! I've also got a load of books from Simon's brother and Simon, so my 'to read' shelf is totally over stocked. I had the usual argument with Simon about my Amazon wishlist, where he says some stuff is really old and I should remove it, and I reply that as I don't own it yet, its staying!! Still, Ben has sent me a voucher, so I'll clear some of the back log.
Today Mum is coming over later so I can out for dinner with Julia. Yay! At the moment she is a Libs, sorting out her garden for the 3rd time.
