I'm not sleeping to great at the mo, as my hips are hurting me and I keep waking up to have to re-arrange my pillows and roll over on to the other one. I can do this and barely wake up, so its not a huge problem. However, when I do this I kick Lynx, who goes and claws Simon until he wakes up and gives him 10 minutes fuss. As I'm waking up every 30 mins - 1 hour, Simon isn't getting much sleep! Why he doesn't just push the cat onto the floor or shut him out the room I don't know, but clearly this is all my fault (LOL etc.). He is in a hotel tomorrow night and I am seeing the osteopath on Thursday who will hopefully sort my hips, so it shouldn't be too long lived a problem.
Anyhow, I had a surprisingly productive afternoon yesterday, that comprised getting my sewing machine out and adjusting the cat sheets for the car so it will now be even harder for Lynx to shit on the upholstery, but I have faith in his skills. I also listed a load of stuff on freecycle, including the cabin bed, so we had to go over to Lib's and get her spare computer desk. My job this afternoon is to move my computer over so we can sort and dismantle the cabin bed ready to go a new home. I have also found a new home for the 3 radiators we removed and a lot of plant pots. At this rate we'll have an empty garage, possibly.
We then went out for dinner at Wetherspoons with Martin, who revealed he is angling for redundancy so he can take the place hes been offered at Durham Uni next year to enter the seminary (or protestant equivalent?). I'm not quite sure how he was expecting me to react when he said he wanted to become a vicar, so I just enquired if he knew where I could get a lion cub, as I'll then have 3 years to raise it before I throw him to it, in the traditional Roman way of dealing with pesky christians! If he keeps the open mind and attitude he has now he'll be a very good vicar, not that the world needs another railway clergyman! I think Simon was more taken aback then I was.
We confirmed Martin's cot bed is exactly what we want and we can have it as its just sitting in their garage taking up space, but it will need a new mattress. Result! Simon also complained to Martin about the cat/sleep problem, and was not pleased to be told it was all good practice for when the baby comes along!
