i am still sick, recovering from the nasty cold. and have now developed the usual "recovery cold sore" so i am probably over the worst of it.
since i have mostly been stuck at home i am limited in what i can do... and since i have no sense of smell from congestion, i cant test BPAL...or really cook..... so being a Fabric Dragon i naturally have been clothes and fabric shopping on line.
The first thing i went looking for was long skirts. You see, i have always liked my skirts LONG. to my mind anything knee length is short. Now i admit in my youth i alternated between mini skirts and long skirts, but even in my old "legs like a race horse" days i did wear long skirts. sadly these are not easy to find right now, since "mid length" skirts seem to be the norm. the look terrible on me.
but.... oh happy days.....
i found some on line sources for long skirts, in plus and other sizes.
www.tznius.com
www.modestworld.com
i bought some skirts that are multi size wrap skirts, and can be adjusted to fit a wide range of sizes without looking doofy... which means that while my weight is still fluctuating i wont have to buy several sizes of skirt.
i will post a picture once i have them in stock.
i found the links from here:

and yes, some of their clothing looks suspiciously like its from little house on the prairie, but some of it is REALLY neat.. the Goddess Wear tie dye is cool, albeit not my style.
and when i ventured out to pay my Catherine's bill i found they had a 50% off sale. and got a gorgeous multi colored long skirt that i can wear with about 15 different colored tops... of course that put me dangerously near a fabric store, and no i didn't escape unscathed... never shop for fabric when you are on cold medication.. thats all i can say about it.
and i wore one of my jeweled snoods from
guendalina actually out in mundania, with a black head band, since i am still in mourning for Lady Ro and got complemented on it, so i may do that more often.
Yes i am one of those odd people who tried to wear black when i am in mourning. i dont manage the entire head to toe black thing that well, but i do try... and yes its a personal quirk, and no i dont expect anyone else to do so.
