wayne may have a working meter... he may not. he spent an hour on teh phone with the lady from one touch and they really need him to run the test fluid diagnoses ...
we will have the test fluid by (probably) tomorrow from one touch....
we drove up to his doctor. they WILL NOT let wayne test from their glucose meter without a full appt... and they have already said they wont see him until his appt. next week.
so we are going to the minute clinic at our local CVS. it will likely cost 50 plus bucks to get his blood sugar checked, but will see if we can get it for cheaper.
i may see about buying a new meter if they have one inexpensive enough. we KNOW they do not carry the test fluid, the pharmacy said so.
we have not found any local places that have the test fluid, or i would buy a spare bottle just to be safe.
i am beyond frazzled at this point, obviously.
i plan on making fruit cake tonight. and henna-ing my hair (not all at once, no). Alton Brown's free range fruitcake is a pleasure to make.. and comes out delicious. and keeps well.
i dont have any work this weekend, which is bad money wise, but possibly better for my nerves.
