Fashion Blog: six items or less

Jul 25, 2010 15:11

late to the party as always, i found out about this when the actual event was over. i still may decide to try it.

The challenge: wear only 6 items of clothing for a month.
six items, like a blazer, a pair of pants, a button up shirt, a t shirt, a skirt, and a dress.

depending on your interpretation of the rules, you may own multiples of an item (in the same color) for laundry purposes...but its a separate item if its in a different color.

exemptions: underwear, work out gear, work uniform, outer coat/jacket/rain gear, "accessories" like purses and jewelry, shoes. These do not count toward your six items.
(some people might quibble with "work out gear" but my gym does not permit street clothes, and if i use up my work out gear as part of my six items. well thats really unfair)

this is where i found the challenge.. some poor fashionista decided to try it....... and no one NOTICED!!!!! i expect it was a shock.
there is a link to the original challenge page in the article.

for some of us a related challenge might be "only wearing what i made myself" not counting the above exemptions......i wonder if i could do it...
