so the ARGH! in my last unlocked post?

for various reasons, i had Pennsic listed in my schedule as last week of July and first week of August...and that is the schedule i used to arrange my missing a week of school, booking shows, etc.
it isnt
it starts the last weekend of July, which this year means July 30th.. so Pennsic is the first two weeks in AUGUST and barely touches July.

the reasons why i *only found this out yesterday* went into in a locked post... but i am having to scramble to re schedule everything... and contact all my teachers who were already doing me huge favors by letting me take tests early and etc.

in at least one class this may work out BETTER, but i dont know about the others yet. i have hope they also will work out better.

in other words i have this mantra: "its all for the best, really!"

but you should have heard the double take when i phoned Guendalina and asked her if she could do me an odd favor and tell me the dates of Pennsic...

and i suppose i must be glad that i found out Friday afternoon... BEFORE i left (today ) Saturday AM to go set up my pavilion tent after driving 6-7 hours to Pennsic.. as i had planned.

----------------

i ordered several text books online, used of course. they have all come in EXCEPT for the one i need to outline two chapters a week from....also of course.

------------------

i find it very frustrating taking certain intro level course work. i knew this would be the case, but i underestimated the LEVEL of frustrating. sometimes its a simple problem of "they use different terminology than i learned".. sometimes its "this information they are presenting is WRONG"
on the other hand i am gaining great insight into several of my RPG characters frustrations, and may eventually work some of this into the psychology of a character in a novel or something... gotta look on the bright side! (and i immediately thought of the Beemah from Phil Foglio's Buck Godot)

------------------------

its extremely hot today
99 degreeson the "mercury" and living where we do its muggy as heck. also the air quality has been dangerous the last several days. bad enough to trigger headaches and nausea in me, and asthma attacks in my husband... *while inside in AC*.

so today we are going to visit my parents...who have whole condo AC, as opposed to my one overworked window AC. i will take some of the homework that i can do with me.

heat exhaustion, argh!, business, hot, college, pennsic
