1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
Graduated from college, got a real job, dedicated to a specific God, worked with technical aspects of theater, officially joined the Church
2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't do new years resolutions. I don't see any point to them
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, a childhood friend.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully I made it through this whole year with no losses
5. What countries did you visit?
Belize! and probably canada. but that doesn't really count.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Financial stability. Really stability in general. So far, its looking promising.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The day I got my job, my birthday, and election night
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Becoming an actual archaeologist. Go me! and I'd say doing the stuff for Sickle too.
9. What was your biggest failure?
giving into my fear in the spring and then again later in the summer
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just my eye a few days ago I think.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My vacay in Belize
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My sisters.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
my parents. my aunt. my ex-uncle.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Belize
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Belize. Its my answer for everything. And graduating. I don't think I'd ever been so excited for a school function.
16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2008?
The Hold Steady. 80's music.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Infinitely happier. 2007 = worst year ever
ii. smaller or larger? I think I'm about the same. maybe a little smaller.
iii. richer or poorer? richer!
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
More behaving ridiculously, more taking chances.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
worrying about what other people are thinking of me. That was a big issue for me in 2008. It was really out of character.
20. How did you spend Thanksgiving?
trying to balance the two families and wishing a lot for my own place to have my own thanksgiving.
21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
Sharayah probably. She moved to AZ. Lame.
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
No thank god. Kept it light this year.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
I was OBSESSED with law and order this year
26. What was the best book you read?
The best book in terms of quality = Daughter of Persia by Sattareh Farman Farmian
In terms of how much I loved it for its entertainment = Twilight.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I don't think I really got into any new music this year. Lots of great new albums from old favorites.
28. What did you want and get?
An archaeology job.
29. What did you want and not get?
My own place in seattle
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Choke. It was really really good.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 22 and it was INSANE. Definitely a memorable one. Huge party and a poor choice that led to awful sex which is still laughed at today. That poor boy.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
More sex.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Dirty but pretty. I tried to keep my fashionista image while covered in mud. I don't know how much it worked.
34. What kept you sane?
My sisters. I don't know where I would be without them. I would have gone absolutely nuts if not for weekly visits to Cap's.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I didn't do too much celebrity crushing this year.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
the election in general. surprisingly the primaries. I got really into that.
37. Who did you miss?
Sharayah, immensely! Since graduation, everyone I had to leave behind in bellingham.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Pat. I didn't really meet him this year, I met him last year but we didn't become friends till we both got hired with the same company.

No fear! Take chances!
