You're all going to laugh at me...

But I am used to people laughing at me and my ever changing plans. :)

Yesterday (and rather a few days before that) Angie and I went back and forth on going to Ireland next year or somewhere else. We went online and checked out flights, hostels, rental apartments, that sort of thing in different countries trying to figure out what exactly it is we wanted to do. Seeing as I have been to Europe a few times I wanted her to have a lot of input because this is her first time ever going abroad. She is probably taking a job that will be a paycut (its towards her degree and while its a paycut now, soon it'll go up) so she is low on money. We finally, after MUCH, MUCH, MUCH talking decided to nix the Ireland trip. We are only going to be there for a week because she would have to go back to work and if we are going to Ireland we want to see the whole country and not rush it.

So...guess where we are going now?

PARIS!

My original plan was Paris was it not? :P Her top three countries to go to first were Germany, France or Italy. So we are going to a place she wants to go to. And also a place I am in love with. The only downside is we have to wait until next FALL to go. Que sadness because I am having issues with it. But on the up side we have a long time to save so we don't have to worry about money when we go there. We are going to get a rental apartment for the week we are there and eat a lot of meals in. We just want the money for shopping (for books and artwork) and for sightseeing and boat tours and basically everything a tourist does. To hold me over (because she knows how much I love to travel) we are planning a long weekend in New Orleans sometime in the winter and I am also hoping to go to Massachusetts to see my friend. Plus we have Chicago in June for a concert and I'm sure we'll go on weekend road trips. It'll have to hold me over until then. I am slowly going through my income tax check anyways trying to pay bills off so it'll be good to have all this time to save.

I'm crazy, I know. mewsing we are also considering taking the train into Belgium for a day. I will be there for a week after my Paris trip but Angie will have to go home. But hopefully you can meet her then! We are thinking September/October 2012. *sigh* So long from now. But I can handle the wait...I think.
