Keane and Tim Rice-Oxley
So I have a fetish for all things BritPop - ie. U2, Muse and particularly Keane. I have loved this band forever, almost as long as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (but, of course, BBVD has been around for 17 years). I still have yet to see Keane in concert. They haven't been to Florida since their first album Hopes and Fears.
For those not familiar with the trio, Tim Rice-Oxley writes the tunes and plays a mean keyboard with a little "Headbanger's Ball" thrown in but typically, Tom Chaplin sings. All of the fans have been pushing Tim to sing and he has for his side project Mt. Desolation. Finally, though, he is singing for Keane. Now I want to find some way to fly to the closest concert date.
