Musings on World Cup, Movies and More

Has anyone been watching the World Cup? This has been one hell of a year for the underdog. To see the All Whites of New Zealand tie both Italy and Paraguay was excellent. Now this England vs. Germany match is insane. The FIFA powers-that-be really need to look at allowing video review for goals because England was ROBBED.

I've also been watching Wimbledon although it is a bit more difficult to get into when the football has been so exciting.

This week has also been about catching up on some of the movies I missed last year. I love that the county library is up-to-date with the new releases. Friday night I watched An Education, which was very good although I did see the twist coming. I saw In Bruges and the classic Out of Africa yesterday. I still have Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and The Young Victoria waiting. The latter I saw part of the flight to Arizona.

Those will have to wait because I am trying to get prepared for the midnight showing of Eclipse on Tuesday. I've re-read the first two Twilight books over the last week before moving onto the third book.

I also have to fill out my self-evaluation for my upcoming performance review. I hate those things. We just got assigned new managers again at work so it seems almost pointless to sit with my old managers on Tuesday.
