Minimal effort = winning musical presentation
Mega B rocks! Hahaha! Each department had to present a movie musical number for our company Christmas party. We were assigned to perform something from Grease. And since we're super duper swamped with all the projects we have to finish for 2007 (so that we can meet our team quota and get our performance bonus), we sort of didn't really practice until after lunch Thursday, with the party being held that evening at Club Mwah. (Speaking of Club Mwah, I highly recommend the fabulous Las Vegas-style show, Follies de Mwah.)
We didn't dream of winning or even placing. We weren't going for the W. We just wanted to participate and get a few laughs so we can get the whole 10% for audience impact. Lo and behold, we won! Hahaha. And take note, we did NOT hire a professional choreographer. Hehe. My boss thought of most of the steps (at naka-tres lang siya sa line dancing nung college sa LB).
You know, I've never won anything in any raffle. Kahit sa Bingo hindi ako nananalo. So you can imagine my suprise when I won a digital camera at the Christmas party raffle. (Major prize yun!) Actually, each person present at the party from my department won a prize (except Ms. Judy and Ms. Gaye, but they don't really count because they're ExeCom). Blue, Ju and Athena won mugs. Melba, Gale and Mike won CPK gift certificates. Liezl won a spa package. Ella won a 1,000-peso Marks and Spencer gift certificate. Claire won an mp3 player. Kath and Krissy won 21" Samsung TV sets. And Ria and Pops won prizes that I can't remember. Plus, Blue and Ria won Hunk of the Night and Star of the Night. Hahaha. What a lucky bunch.
My prize was a Sony Cyber-shot, which I have yet to lay my eyes and hands on because it's in our main office and I'm too lazy to go there are get it. And knowing my company and our HR department, that Cyber-shot is one of the cheaper, bigger ones. Hahaha. My dad's really happy I won a digital camera. Sabi niya, "So wrapper na lang ang ibibigay ko sa 'yo?" Hahaha. (I asked for a Canon Digital IXUS 950 IS or 860 IS from my parents, you see.)
It was fun hanging out with my officemates. Makes it (almost) worthwhile to just suck it up and stay put. =)

Off to Megamall in 33 minutes to finish my Christmas shopping! =)
