Finished the Puppetrice Theme... it's a somewhat baroque feeling piece, which I felt was important as it represents the dolllike nature of the City side of Victoria. It is written however with some atonality and progresses into a much more modern mid section before returning to a reprise on the baroque elements ( Read more... )

• Think I might be getting Sid's flu.
• Have a couple of new titles percolating (I still find it odd that titles need to percolate for so long these days)
  
• "Young Victoria" for solo guitar and synth: The solo guitar is almost finished, once I've finished it and am comfortable with it I will record it and put the synths behind it.

The good:
Saw Pirates of the Caribean (sp?) 2 last night with my wonderful wife Sid.  Thoroughly enjoyed it. (This also is The Fishy... those of you who have seen it will understand, those who haven't.... go see, enjoy.)

As usual, when away from the office I've been away from the world.

Here are a few random points about the last few days:

• Saturday's shoot was amazing. I actually feel like I took some really good photos... the combination of studies, practice, conversations and camera have paid off and I actually feel like a "photographer" now, not just some ( Read more... )

It's wednesday and I'm back at work.

For those not in the know that means that I left the office 11 hours ago and here I am again.  With an 1.5 hour commute each direction that means that I got about 8 hours of downtime, factor in settling down, guitar etc. and I maybe got about 5 hours sleep last night.  That's 10 hours of broken sleep over the ( Read more... )

Erotic Duty:  really happy with the intro. It's sort of Cohenesque, dreamy but ritualistic/military as well.  I haven't yet posted the text of it, will need to do so soon.
